Church Administrator: Emily Hill
My name is Emily Hill, and I am thrilled God has led me to the Office Administrator position at Living Hope! I am married to Josh and we have four children: Caden, Macy, Julia, and Noelle. I grew up on a farm in Keota, IA. I attended Indian Hills in Ottumwa, where I met Josh, then transferred to the University of Northern Iowa to complete a degree in Organizational Communications/Training & Development.
Being flexible towards my family life has been my priority for the past 20 years. I have worked in several positions part-time including: 10 years of business ownership alongside my husband, 7 years of substitute teaching in the Davis County Schools, along with experience as an English Language Instructor for Indian Hills and as a Lifeguard/Swim Instructor. I feel that I bring a well rounded history of working in business and with people to the church office.
Church has always been an important part of our marriage and family life. Last year I heard a call from God- telling me I would do church work and that our family life had entered a new season- I was free to pursue full-time employment. I have tried to wait patiently this past year, with God’s whisper telling me there would be something that was a perfect fit. When I attended a Living Hope Sunday service, saw the job opening, and heard the sermon titled ‘Get Out of The Boat’…. I knew I should apply!
I am a very organized, detail oriented person. I love to stay active and clear my mind by walking and swimming. I keep home a haven for my family! My life goal is to help and serve others. It is an absolute joy and privilege to be given the opportunity to help and serve the congregation of Living Hope Bible Church.
My favorite verses all come from Psalm 37.
Trust in the Lord and wait patiently for him to act, believing that he can care for us better than we can for ourselves.
