Church Administrator: Heather Hunsaker
My name is Heather Hunsaker and I am the Church Administrator at Living Hope. My husband and I both grew up in rural North Central Iowa. My husband, Travis, and I have been married since 2004. We have two children, Wesley and Mya.
I previously worked as a medical transcriptionist for 8 years. After that, my husband and I answered the call of the Lord and moved our family to Tijuana, Mexico to volunteer at a mission base for 3 months. In October of 2015 we were appointed as missionaries and in January of 2016 we moved to Tijuana permanently to become missionaries at Puente de Amistad. During the last 6 years in Tijuana, we served as the directors for that mission base. In 2024 the Lord started opening doors and calling us back to our home state of Iowa.
We are so grateful to serve such a good God. Jesus put all the pieces together for us to move back to the United States in November of 2025. Our children are getting to learn American culture that they have only seen in movies. They are having their first experiences in American public schools after being homeschooled much of our time on the mission field.
We are grateful for the community of Eldon and the Cardinal School District for everything they have done to ease our transition from the mission field. The staff at Living Hope Bible Church have been a joy to get to know and work with. We are excited to see what the Lord does in this next chapter of our lives, and we are very excited to be serving in the community of Eldon!
I am looking forward to gardening once again and having farm animals with my children. It is very important to us to be able to pass down rural Iowa traditions to our children, things that our parents and grandparents taught us. My favorite life verses are Hebrews 6:10-12:
10 God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them. 11 We want each of you to show this same diligence to the very end, so that what you hope for may be fully realized. 12 We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised. - NKJV
