What is a Trustee?

The job of a Trustee is to watch over the maintenance, property, and financial means of the church. This just means, when they see, or are notified of, a problem in the building or parking lot, ex: a doorknob needs fixed, then they fix it or have it fixed. They also look after the financial aspects of the church, as in they have to approve of big financial purchases and decide where the money comes from. Not only are Trustees responsible for these physical matters, they also need to be an example for other members, and visitors to the church. They are to have a Christ-like example, have a personal relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ, and use the Bible in all decision-making. The congregation votes on this job annually.
