Pastor Mark Clark
My name is Josh Kuiper, and I serve as the Associate Pastor at Living Hope. I oversee Middle School, High School, and Young Adult Ministries as well as assisting with preaching, event planning, summer ministries, and other duties as needed. I am continually amazed at what God has done in this church, and I look forward to what the future holds!
I grew up in the small town of Holland, IA outside of Grundy Center. After graduating from Grundy Center High School, I attended Central College in Pella. I played offensive and defensive line for the Central football team and graduated with a B.S. in Engineering. During that time, I met my wife Olivia and we got married in 2022. After college, I worked as a Plant Process Engineer at Pella Corporation for two years and lived in Oskaloosa, IA. From there, God called me in a new direction to Living Hope. I enjoy spending time outdoors hiking or disc golfing, lifting weights, and watching movies.
I love to read and study God's Word, and I use it as the ultimate guide for all I do. My favorite scripture passage is Philippians 2:4-11 which says: "'Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."
